ghost trail Nature Park Ghost Trail

Join us this Halloween for a spooky walk through Pine Loop Trail at Apex Nature Park (2500 Evans Rd). This is a free, family-friendly event that you can attend anytime the park is open from October 20 until November 2. Look for ghosts, pumpkins, bats and more as you explore our nature trail. Please note this trail is not paved, so at times it may be bumpy or muddy, and some parts may be difficult for strollers. We suggest you wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty and don't forget your flashlight if you visit after dark!

For our more adventurous guests, you will be able to scan a QR code with your phone to listen to a pre-recorded spooky story during your walk (bring your own headphones!)

If you visited our Ghost Trail, we would love to hear your feedback on it here. Questions? Call 919-249-3402, message us on Facebook or send an email.

movie night Halloween Movie Night ~ October 28, 2020

We will be screening "Hocus Pocus" the Wednesday before Halloween. Come enjoy a socially distanced movie at the park with your family! The movie will be shown outside at the Apex Nature Park Amphitheater. (2600 Evans Rd). Bring your own food and snacks to enjoy during the show. Registration will be required as space is limited to the first 100 people to sign up. You can sign up here.

As registration is very limited, if you sign up for tickets and later realize you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can pass them along to others.

Questions? Call 919-249-3402, message us on Facebook or send an email.

StoryWalk® at the Parkstorywalk small sign

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

We are excited to introduce StoryWalk® to Apex! You can read a children's book as you walk along a short paved trail (around .5 miles). StoryWalk® is currently located at Salem Pond Park (6112 Old Jenks Road). This trail is stroller friendly.

Questions? Call 919-249-3402, message us on Facebook or send an email.

If you have already done our Storywalk®, we would love for you to share your feedback here: https://www.cognitoforms.com/TownOfApex1/aprcrstorywalk
