Registration Update

Instead of a traditional league, the Town is offering a modified version of spring youth soccer.  Focusing on learning the game and developing skills, participants will meet once a week on a specific weeknight (determined by the availability of the coaches - see schedule below).  All participants and spectators will be required to wear a mask while at the field.  Scrimmaging will be permitted within the group.

Registration for Apex residents begins on Monday, March 29.  Non-resident registration begins Monday, April 12.  Registration is available online and at the John M. Brown Community Center.  Each age group is limited to a maximum of 30 players.

Get Involved. Volunteer to Coach!
Knowledgeable volunteer coaches are the backbone and face of our youth athletic programs. They teach skills, provide leaderships, and lead practices and games throughout the season. League schedules vary, but most leagues have one practice each week and a game on Saturday. Soccer leagues will also have an occasional game on Sunday or during the week.

All of our coaches are trained and certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). All volunteers are required to complete a background check before participating in any practices or games. The Town of Apex follows guidelines suggested by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) for denying applications to serve as a volunteer coach. Find a list of criteria that will result in an application being denied (PDF) for a  approval to serve as a volunteer coach. If you are interested in and eligible to volunteer to coach any of our programs, please click the link below and fill out your information.
