holiday movie night Holiday Movie Nights ~ December 1 & 2, 2020

We will be screening "The Polar Express" on Tuesday, December 1 and on Wednesday, December 2. Come enjoy a socially distanced movie at the park with your family! The movie will be shown outside at the Apex Nature Park Amphitheater (2600 Evans Rd, Apex 27502).

Mr. A's Beignets food truck will be there both nights selling coffee, hot chocolate and of course beignets from 4:30pm-7pm! You can also bring your own food and snacks to enjoy during the show. Registration will be required for both nights as space is limited to the first 100 people to sign up. Both nights will follow the same format and show the same movie, so choose which date works better for you. There will even be a surprise visit from Santa!!

The movie will start promptly at 5:30pm. Please arrive early to find your seat, grab some refreshments and see Santa. The food truck and Santa will be available starting at 4:30pm. Please note due to the nature of this event, both nights are "shine only." We will reach out if we need to cancel either night due to poor weather conditions.

December 1st screening

December 2nd screening

As registration is very limited, if you sign up for tickets and later realize you can no longer attend, please email us as soon as possible so we can pass them along to others. If registration is full, you can also send an email letting us know you want to be added to the waitlist.

StoryWalk® at the Parkstorywalk small sign

We are excited to introduce StoryWalk® to Apex! You can read a provided children's book as you walk along a short trail. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

CURRENT LOCATION (as of 11/5): Apex Community Park, 2200 Laura Duncan Road. This trail is short and unpaved. At times it may be a little muddy and difficult for a stroller. To find the start of the trail, start near the large shelter. The path for this StoryWalk will be marked by one of our boards before you get on the path for the loop around the lake.

CURRENT BOOK: Leaf Man (Thank you to Lightbridge Academy for sponsoring this month's book!)

Questions? Call 919-249-3402, message us on Facebook or send an email.

If you have already done one of our Storywalks®, we would love for you to share your feedback here.
