Town of Apex Announces Developer Roundtable to Advance Affordable Home Production
Apex, NC - The Town of Apex Community Development & Neighborhood Connections (CDNC) Housing Division will convene local and regional development partners for a Developer Roundtable, “Partnering to Build Homes for All in Apex,” on March 11th 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Apex Senior Center. Lunch will be provided for all registered attendees.
The collaborative session will bring together homebuilders, affordable home developers, and nonprofit partners to discuss strategies that increase and preserve affordable homes in Apex.
The event will focus on key topics such as development barriers, zoning and entitlement processes, infrastructure challenges, opportunities for public-private partnerships, and innovative approaches to expanding affordable home options in Apex.
“This discussion will help guide future policy recommendations, expand our development toolbox, and make our development processes more predictable and efficient,” said Marla Newman, Director of Community Development & Neighborhood Connections.
“Our goal is to ensure Apex remains a community where people of all incomes have the opportunity to live in a quality home that fits their budget.”
A pre-event survey will be shared with registered attendees to help shape the agenda. Input gathered during the roundtable will inform future strategic planning and improvements to development tools, processes, and policies within the Town.
