Small businesses are a vital part of the Apex economy. Apex’s small businesses sustain jobs, add to our community and culture, and bring innovative ideas and products to market. Join the Town of Apex and other local small business leaders as we “Love Local” and celebrate and support our small business community.

Each day of Small Business Week, TAG an Apex business on social media and show how you “LOVE LOCAL” Apex small businesses. These could be small businesses you rely on for your business operations, small businesses you love, or those you partner with. Tag the business and use hashtags #ApexSmallBizWeek

Sunday, April 30 – Share Your Story You started your business for a reason — Don’t keep your story a secret! Use your unique position this Small Business Week to remind your customers and supporters why you do what you do. Then share your story and your inspiration using the hashtags #ApexSmallBizWeek and #ApexSmallBizSuccess. Tip – Keep it simple just a sentence or two — add a photo — show your customers the heart of your business — why you do it and what keeps you going. |

Wednesday, May 3 – FREE Lunch Marketing Workshop with GLU Consulting 11:30am – 1:00pm, The Halle Cultural Arts Center Join Apex Economic Development and Eraina Ferguson, Founder and Principal Consultant of GLU Consulting as she presents ways for you to up your social media strategies, improve SEO and market on a small budget. Thursday, May 4 – Wellness Walk with Apex Economic Development Small Business Team 8:30am, Apex Town Hall Grab your sneakers and some water and join Colleen Merays, Small Business Manager and Barbara Belicic, Small Business Specialist for a 30-minute walk to rejuvenate and nurture your well-being. Taking care of your personal wellness is as important as taking care of your business’s wellness. Studies have found that walking regularly improves emotional health, reduces stress and anxiety, and improves mood and overall feelings of well-being. |
Friday, May 5 – Cheers to Apex’s Small Business 4:30pm, The Depot, 220 N. Salem St., Downtown Apex Join Apex Economic Development as we cheer on Apex’s small business. We will sip and stroll our way around to various Downtown Apex lounges, taprooms, and coffee shops. |
Saturday, May 6 – Join us at PeakFest 9am – 5pm, Downtown Apex Come out and support Apex’s small businesses, artisans, and makers… All while you celebrate “The Peak of Good Living” |
